Minister for Health, Tanya Plibersek, together with the Member for Scullin, Harry Jenkins MP and Member for McEwen, Rob Mitchell MP, today turned the first sod of the new $34.4 million Northern Health Teaching, Training and Research Precinct.

Patients of Northern Health will benefit following a special payment from the Gillard Government.
Harry Jenkins MP, Federal Member for Scullin, together with the Member for McEwen, Rob Mitchell MP, today welcomed the payment from the Gillard Government of $3.9 million paid directly to Northern Health.

Extra income support payments will soon be received by over 9,500 people in Scullin after a key legislation passed Federal Parliament. Harry Jenkins MP, Federal Member for Scullin said the passage of the bill through the Senate would see the first Income Support Bonus payments delivered with weeks.
