Harry Jenkins MP, Federal Member for Scullin, has today turned the first sod of the new $6.4 million Peter Lalor Trade Training Centre. "The new Training Centre will provide local students with industry relevant training in various industries, including automotive and construction, ensuring they are prepared for the highly skilled workforce of tomorrow", Mr Jenkins said.

The Minister for Veterans’ Affairs, Warren Snowdon, today joined Member for Scullin, Harry Jenkins, to test their Anzac biscuit baking skills with a class of year 5 and 6 students at Diamond Creek East Primary School in Melbourne.
Using a recipe based on the one developed in the First World War by the wives and mothers of Australian soldiers, Mr Snowdon was shown the ropes by the champion biscuit bakers who took the top honours for a Victorian primary school in the Department of Veterans’ Affairs Anzac Day Schools’ Awards in 2011.
